How you came to live in Arizona:
My mother moved here 7 years ago due to medical reasons mainly arthritis. I visited her yearly for 6 years for two weeks every August. I planned on moving here to help my mother out after falling ill to Valley Fever. Unfortunately my mother passed away in October 2010 and while here in Tucson making arrangements for her body to be flown back east, SAAF called me for a job interview. A week later I received a phone call stating that offered me the position. So here I am.
Tell us about yourself?:
I’m a goal driven person, caring & outspoken. I advocate for the underdog, and love history. I’m a care giver by nature and have worked in Human & Social Services for over 15 years. I enjoy helping others.
What drives you?:
Just the fact that I’m able to breathe the same air as you today is testimony that my purpose in life is too help others. God has given us all choices, making the right one falls on us and what’s in our hearts.
Who are your inspirations?:
God first, then my mother. I never recognized the sacrifices my mother had made for my sister and myself, until I had to fend for myself. Then I realized how unselfish she really was, things she did without, so my sister amd me can have. I respect all single parents who put their children first.
Words of Wisdom?:
Follow your dreams, stay focused and don’t quit. It’s never easy, so don’t be discouraged. Believe in yourself, before putting faith in others, and live by the Golden Rule – Do onto others, as you would want others to do onto you.
